Practically Perfect Planner Challenge Round 3 Final!

Cara and I have been communicating every other night or so via private message on Facebook.  I think she is getting a little scared of all the cuteness I keep throwing at her.  She was kinda trash talking me, if you can believe that!  I know, I was a little shocked myself.  Well, more than a little!  So, of course I won't travel down that slippery slope to "Uglyville" and I'm just gonna keep it real by keepin' it CUTE!  I won't even go on about how she accused me of using her green washi tape in the middle of my planner cover. (Yes, we are talking about a 1 1/2" piece) HER green washi tape?  I have 8,349,129 rolls of washi tape and I gotta use hers??  Really? But like I said, no need to jump over to "Jealousburg" is there?  Nope.  So that's what that first photo is about.  Now, shall we be a little more dignified, Miss Cara Contender?  Now grab a tissue, my washi lovin' friends, cause you are going to cry from the cuteness overload!  You've been warned!

I told you!  5 times cuter than my normal cute!  Oops!  Except for the photo below.  It's kinda messed up!  I was trying to handwrite part of my post, you know like Cara does?  Big Mistake!  Bunches of them in fact!  I said crap at least twice, maybe more.  So, that's what I get for trying to be all "I can do that like Cara, it's not like she owns it, like apparently every little green roll of washi tape in the world!"  So, my apologies for disembarking from the cute train for just a pit stop (train peeps don't call it that, I don't think)  I will now return you to your expected and over the top even, CUTE!

*UPDATE*
I just did some detective work with regard to the "stolen" washi tape idea "incident"!  Poor Cara needs to adjust her monitor color settings.  Or take a nap!  Hers appears to be a bright apple green, almost neon, but not.  Mine is a soft green and 1/4" wide.  If that's what she used to cover the front of her planner, well let's just say she has way more patience than I do.  But that's a given anyway, with the six kids and all.  So go see if you think Cara needs a little vacay or if my photo shoots are big fat liars! ;)  Note the offending roll in the above shot as well.  Nuff said!  (Or as Cara would say "Nough"  Cute, huh?  Okay, friends . . . back on the train!   Let's roll!!

The challenge is to take all of those pretty AKA cute, planner accessories and put them to work to keep you organized!  (Have you notices that she spells organized with a "s"?  My hubs does that too!)

Super cute buttons attached to paper clips.  Also, in the adorable ceramic berry basket, is a little jotter notebook.  It is approximately 3" x 4" It has a tabbed divider made with washi tape and little sheets of lined paper inside, and of course it is cuted up with some washi tape as well!  There is the word "Inspiration" on the front cover, that you can see as you scroll down.  I just toss this baby in my purse, with or without my regular purse-sized planner of my last post.  I can even attach them to make them even more convenient.  Oh, and a couple of mini sharpies for doodling, highlighting and spur of the moment mustache hijinks(Six grandsons, remember?)

Here's my take on paperclips.  Washi tape and an enamel heart sticker.  I also covered a cute aqua colored bulldog clip with my fave washi tape and BAM!  Double the cute They are being displayed on a mini pocket page I made from regular sized manilla folders (like in the last post, yep!)  I stitched a piece of vintage seam binding down the "spine" just cause it's cute . . . a little crooked, but cute!  Do you like my stylized yarn heart?  I wasn't cooperating so I had to add a button and BAM!  Even cuter!   Oh, Oh . . . there's the washi tape again too!  Oh, man, I am laughing my banoonies off now!  It's like flippin' Where's Waldo now! :D

Okay, serious . . . WALDO WASHI TAPE again??  Okay, breathe . . . hahahahaha!  Some more gorgeous colored bulldog clips.  This time I just added some tiny enamel dots and hearts to them.  I love how they look all lined up and organized-like.  I think I'll just put them in my planner as is!  Super cute!

Okay, I don't usually cuss, but DANG!  There's that freakin' washi tape AGAIN!  I did not plan this and didn't even notice when I was uploading the photos from my phone to my blog.  I am writing this photo by photo, so I'm seeing it "new" every time too!  I am maniacally laughing now!  Oh, how I pray it's not the same washi tape that Cara has, cause that would be kinda embarrassing at this point.  What do you wanna bet, the next shot has Waldo in it too, right?

Of, course!  Crap.  I am just going to ignore it from here on out!  I'm ignoring you Waldo!  Don't even look at me!  Now, that line of bulldog clips looks pretty cool, I mean cute, huh!  (Stop looking at me Waldo!!)

Whew!  It's gone!  I love this shot too!  It's totally CUTE!

BAM . . . BAM    &    BAM!!  Cute, cute and cutest!  I just slapped these insanely adorable & puffy stitched stickers to the paper clips, which aren't' too shabby either, huh?

Totally delicious, don't you think?  I stitched a piece of beautiful felt "paper" to a nice, thick piece of chipboard.  This is going to make a cute planner cover, don't you think?

These are some coordinating pages and dividers to go inside the above planner.  The tabs, including the pinwheel flower are all paper clips!  I know, right?  BAM! Super cute!

Cute, or what?  Again, just kinda puffy alphabet stickers.  Like I really had to spell out CUTE for you!!

This is a DIY pocket with a little notepad of grid paper.  Love me some grid paper!

Now, just a series of random cute shots to put you over the edge!  Do you guys see that cute little Raggedy Andy in the background?  I've had him for about 25 years and this is his photographic blog debut!  Handsome dude, huh?

I have had the best time with this Practically Perfect Planner Challenge!  Thank you Cara, for real!  I've really had to step up my game in this competition, because you my dear, are so flippin' cuteBAM SPANKING BOOM!  I encourage you to sign up for Cara's class, cause it's obvious . . . she's got game!  Click here to go check it out if you're not signed up already!  I'm going to be sitting at the head of the class in Cara's Practically Perfect Planners Class.  I am also going to try to be the "Teacher's Pet" if it turns out I was wrong about the washi tape . . . your know?  Waldo. 1. Oh boy, the cuteness is flying girls! You are too funny and it is as if I am sitting in the middle of the two of you. I am taking baby steps towards this planner thing. I can't decide on size ,"Do I want to carry it around in my purse(then it has to be small) or do I want to make it bigger?" I did buy some cute fabric tape yesterday.....it screamed JUST LIKE NANCY would use! So now I have calendar sheets I bought at Walmart and some tape. I just might get this done by June!

    1. Hi, Lori!

Baby washi steps! Those are huge!!

You can start planners any day, week or month! I think thats why I hate store bought planners or most of them anyway! If I buy them late or don't use them right away or I am not consistant, well then I feel guilty or like I wasted my money, ya know. If half of the year is gone, I want it at half price too!

You are getting there, my friend, you are getting there!! ♡ Thanks for stopping by!

  2. Okay. Better. Had to take a breath. Waldo Washi! 5x's as cute? There is just so much adorable-ness and cute here I can hardly take it. I think you totally won the challenge. And I'm not saying that just cause I love you. I'm saying that because I don't want to get Washi Taped! You are new new super hero of washi tape and paper clips! I did kinda love Cara's water-color calender, but those little sewn pockets you make take the Cute Trophy! - I was at Collage PDX and looking at their wall of washi yesterday for red poka dot tape. 1. Your wall is bigger. 2. They didn't have any, and neither did Craft Warehouse. 3. All of the red poka dot washi in Portland is at YOUR HOUSE.

    3. She's got a point, Dana, what with the sewn pockets and her pigtails! However, I contend that she stole that red "spotty" washi tape, as EVERYONE knows that's my signature washi cuteness! And now you can't find any in Oregon and I have'nt bought any new washi tape here since August of last year! Hmmm . . . I think her pigtails might be too tight ;)
