DAY 4 OF GRATITUDE! Time for HUGS!

Definition of gratitude (n)

  • grat·i·tude
  • [ grátti toòd ]
  1. thanks: a feeling of being thankful to somebody for doing something.
  2.  number 1 feels really good and makes me want to hug you!
  3. I just wanted you to know me a little bit better before I hug you! ♡

This is a photo of me several years ago.  I had just met Laith, the little boy in the photo.  I was his new Auntie.  He did not want a hug, did he?  Poor little dude!

This is me, also several years ago.  These bees, on another visit to them, wanted to hug me.  Oh, that was such a bad, bad visit.  My husband had to "smoke" me.  I can't talk about it anymore right now. (That is my hubs in the background . . . or is it his identical twin?)

This photo was before the bee incident.  I would not be hanging out in these flower bushes otherwise.  Poor, foolish, unknowing lady.
One more selfie for you!  A personal favorite!

And this was my Mom.  Some peeps say I look just like her.  That makes me happy!  I wish I could hug her. (hug your Mom today!)

 Sew . . . . . .

And the winner is . . .

Woot!  Hi Sajatha aka Royal She!

Sajatha, Sew, now what are you going to do?!  I'm sew excited you won!  Sew, whatcha making today? :)
If you haven't figured it out yet, Sajatha peppers a lot of her conversations with the word SEW and every time I think of her, I start doing it too!  Yes, we are annoyingly adorable!  Sajatha's latest facebook post is about making cool tile roads for your little people's cars and communities!  Super cute!

Anyhoo,
.
CONGRATULATIONS, SAJATHA!

  2. Congrats, Congrats to Sajatha! I know I can't win everyday, but I remember something about a grand prize and I don't wanna miss it. I love those photos of you, Nancy. (and the beautiful one of your mom I'm sorry the bees decided you were a beautiful flower and they must hug you - but really I can't believe you stood that close to them. One bee is cute. Ten bees is caution..all the bees in that box is - I'm standing way the heck somewhere else! - I cleaned my craft area today (the bedroom) and spray misted some thread. Now I have to go to the job. I wish I could do the job less, craft more - earn more money. Which is why I need April's class. - My mom is in another state, but I will send her a phone hug right now before work. Thanks for reminding me!

    1. Awwwwwwwwww! What a feel good comment! You are every bit as wordy as I am!

What the heck is "spray misted" your thread mean?

I'm so happy you called your Mom! I'll bet she was too! You are a good daughter! ♡

    2. :0) - Sorry I'm a bit of a goof. Had a bit too much caffeine today... I needed colored thread to match a project, so I painted it using glimmer mists, or rather spray mists.

    1. My bee stories would make a very long blog post, cause this was only one of many interesting and sometimes hilarious bee encounters!

Isn't that a super cute shot of those children, we laugh now. My Mom was super photogenic, I think. ♡

  5. Beautiful photos, Nancy! Thank you for sharing. I've had a bee incident too - traumatizing. I used to want to keep bees one day, make candles and harvest honey, but...after being chased by a swarm - I'm taking it as a sign! Actually blogged the incedent here http://edandcori.blogspot.com/2013/10/spooky-week-with-drake-and-megan.html -C

    2. Cori, I read your post!

Yikes! Wow! Now that is scary! My incident was freaky and a scary, but compared to yours, I was maybe a big baby! Hmmmm.....you know what was worse for me? It was the noise that they made, like they were in my head! I think I got maybe 20 stings, but I feel pretty fortunate now. Thanks for putting it into perspective for me. However, I don't plan to change my "scary" story to the grandkids and still think that the delicious Jamaican honey was sort of worth it, we go a lot! In hind site. :) Great story, Cori, thanks for sharing!
