5 Reasons to write stuff down! Final No CRAP EXCUSE post!

That's right!  Because, I said so!!

Does that sound like something your Mom would have said?  Or maybe still does?  Does it pain you to realize that sometimes it's just as simple as that??   That if you don't, you will be soooooorrrrry!

So, instead of trying to analyze and figure out why I don't do it like I should, because that would just be another way to delay and use it as a "crap excuse", I am just going to do it!  Because I said so!  My Mom is no longer around to tell me this, but it's her voice I hear in my head saying it!!

The giveaway for a custom social media art graphic is still going on.  You decide on what you want me to put on it . . . maybe something cool for your Mom?  Just sayin'.  If you have any questions, just holler!  Comment below to be entered to win!  Tell me what your favorite time management tip is or anything you want, relating to this blog post!  I will choose a WINNER on Saturday and will make it for you as soon as you get me the information you'd like on it!  I can even use your photo if you'd like!  Just let me know:)

Thanks, ladies!!

XOXOXO

  1. I need better time management. The struggle is real. Sometimes I think a big part of my problem is trying to get too much done in the time I have...

    1. Hi, Shauna!

Oh yeah, I do that too! I am sooooooooo over-opimistic in the amount of time I think something will take. Break it down into the most urgent and have to's and then add more if time allows. But absolutely don't sweat the stuff that is not on your list, till it gets on your list, ya know??

  2. You should see my desk, I write down everything. But I write things all over the place, back of receipts, doodle pads, envelopes, hey at least I recycle.
I should take your advice and get a journal, that would save time trying to find that number, address, or password.

    1. Hey, Dana!

That's so me too! I'm working hard on it now though! See Red's comment below, it's a good one! We need to be accountablilibuddies on the topic like we did with The Gratitude Journey! What do you think?

  5. My time management is set a timer. If I am working I set a timer for 45 minutes, then I take a 20 minute break and go back to what I was doing. This helps me be very productive..................sometimes.

    1. Hi, Just G!

That's a good one! I've heard that is very effective, but alas have not tried it, although I think I really should! Thanks for the tip!

  6. My magical planner is my best time management tool. Yes! Write things down! You won't remember them, and also you shouldn't expect your poor brain to remember all of the tasks you have to do. That's like using a super computer only to play Tetris. Give your brain the big jobs and take the rinky-dink stuff off her plate by writing stuff down IN YOUR PLANNNER!!

    1. Hi, Richelle!

Yes, you are totally and 110% RIGHT! It's not just writing it down, it's writing it down where it will be remembered when it's needed to be! In the planner, on the wall, on a tablet or whatever works best! Just not in 1800 places, which is what I am constantly working on! Getting better all the time! It's been a hard habit for me to break! Thanks for the reminder!

  7. So true. I just bought a Smash book for my 5-year old grandson so we can keep track of his memories. He has ADHD and anxiety along with some sensory issues... so his memory is bad and then he gets upset with himself for not remembering. So we're gonna smash it!!! :) Hopefully it will start a lifelong tool for him. AND I'm a huge proponent for regular journaling as well. The more you journal, the healthier you can be. It actually helps to boost your immune system. So do it! LOL.

    1. Hey, Kimberlee!

What an AWESOME idea! That really is so very clever!

I love me some Smash Books! When I open The Stockpot Photographer later this month, I'll be doing a super fun launch, which of course will include giveaways! One of which will be a SMASH BOOK! Yay!

  8. I am all KINDS of agreeing with this right now.

I need to write every single thing down or it evaporates into the room and disappears. I've got about eleventy-seven journals or notebooks on the go at any one time, and I wouldn't have it any other way :)

    1. Hi, Kris!

First of all, I can't believe you say "elventy-seven"! I thought my grands made that up! :)

I've also got eleventy-seven journals and notebooks going on, but it is really time for me to spend a weekend going through them, pulling out the "gold nugget ideas" as I come across them and then put them in a drawer, figuratively and literally. Get them off my mind. I'm always thinking I missing something with them just laying around taunting me all the time! :)

  9. Yes! I write everything either in S Memo in my phone or in my Google Calendar. I have to or poof!, it's gone. Sometimes I go into a room for something only to realize I have no idea what I came in there to get. Tee-hee!

  10. A co-worker shared her favorite list making tip. Make #1 "make a list", complete writing your lost and immediately check off #1. You've already accomplished something now just keep the ball rolling!

Perfect! Sometimes I'll give the hubs some stuff to do, and when he's done I'll put them on my list and then check them off! It's a total feel good! ;)
